Our provider's SMSC does not accept the + prefix. It wants fully qualified international numbers to be prefixed with 00.

Can NowSMS be configured to automatically replace + with 00? I saw the TON and NPI settings in the SMPP configuration, but it doesn't look like that is what we need.

We're presently connecting with UCP but our provider also supports SMPP.

Hi Anthony,

The following link explains the settings that can be configured for this: http://www.nowsms.com/international-prefix-conversion-for-sms

The example converts 00 to +, but the other direction is also possible.

Works well when sending interactively from the web interface, but not when sending via mail-to-SMS. Is this not supported, or might I have made a mistake in the config?

Are you using the "global" setting, or the SMSC specific setting?

The SMSC specific setting gets applied at the time the message is transmitted. So it should definitely work regardless off submission path.

I was using the global setting.
Adding the SMSC-specific setting does the trick.

Thanks!
