Im writing an application to send sms from a computer using an Orange sim and a Siemens TC35i. I've got the system working and its working when receiving delivery reports. My next problem is the Validity Period of a message. I know all the code etc and it does work but its really inconsistent. For example, i turned 2 mobiles off, set the validity period to 5 min and sent both mobiles a msg. After 9 hrs i got a delivery report saying that msg 1 had failed and after 12 hrs msg2 failed. All the sims are on Orange. I then sent a msg from my phone to the same 2 mobiles, getting roughly the same results. I expected to get the reports back after 5 min, not 9 hrs Every test i do, i seem to get a strange result. Does this mean that the networks are inconsistent??? Can anyone offer me some advice?? I want my app to tell the user if a msg has failed !!! | |||
