I've been searching all over the place for information on how to do this, but I can'´t seem to find what I'm looking for. Perhaps one of the experts here could advise me?

I have a website (and my own server, if it helps). I wish to offer a service to my visitors whereby they will be able to get a polyphonic ringtone sent to their phone - and hopefully I'll make a bit of profit out of it.

The question is... how?

How do I set up such a service? How do I collect money from the customers' mobile phone companies?

I'm totally lost here. Please help me. It seems a shame that there may be a lot of people out there who want to make something out of an idea, but they don't know how, and a Google search proves fruitless. Thanks.

how to send ? ....
Use WAP push with URL to that polyRT in it and let them download it through WAP

how to set up? ....
Use nowsms with gsm modem/SMSC to send the WapPush messages. Make account on u'r website for each user and first let them put some money in it. When ever they send a message from their account i.e. Wap push ... charge them for that.

still lost.... go to mmssdk.com or valentiatech.com and buy the whole solution and add MMS and bla bla bla ... all the functionlaity in u'r site ... and charge the user for each type of message they send.

Hi Nauman. So.. is learning WAP the only way to do it? I don't know what WAP Push is... but thanks for the tip: I can go and Google that, and find out about it.

I was wondering if there was a method whereby the user could just put their phone number into a form on my site (in Internet Explorer on a PC!), and it would automatically send them the ring tone - without them having to access a WAP browser - and then automatically charge them from their mobile phone credit. Is this too difficult?

The mono ring tone can be send as a SMS message but not the polyphonic. So they some how have to download it on their mobile phone. So for that WAP push is best option.

There are i hope web services available that can send the WAP Push for you. mmssdk.com, they have web services for that, that u can call from u'r web site/application.

For charging part u have to talk to u'r service provider.
