Hello, I want to create my own sms gateway so that others can use my service to send SMS via pc. I need to know hardware requirements for the same. I want something like clickatell.com. I dont want to use their web service to send SMS. I need to have my own web service. Do I need to contact any mobile service provider? In short I want to make bulk sms sending functionality like clickatell.com. Please help.. | |||

umm... like clickatell ... Great So the first thing that you have to do is to ask u'r service provider to give you an SMPP bind. So that u can directly communicate with SMSC over socket. The 2nd thing will be to implement SMPP or buy SDK for that, so that u can actually communicate with SMSC. Once that done. Then u will require Smart/EMS/WAP messaging SDKs. So that u can acutally encode the messages and can send it over that bind with SMSC. Once that done then u can create u'r own web services/stuff which should talk to u'r SDKs, ur' SDKs should generate the message and give it to u'r SMPP SDK and u'r SMPP SDK should send that message to SMSC. and yea offcourse from SMSC to mobile phone. If u wana receive the message too, then just reverse the whole process. Easy isn't it. Best of luck. | |||
