Hello,
I want to send an overlength SMS over the webform of my phone-company. There I can only send SMS-messages with a length of up to 160 characters.
I can remember having seen on very old cellphones that an SMS-messages with a length of more than 160 chars was split into multiple messages, which were numbered thru.
I found the information, that in this case each message can only hold 153 characters - so the numbering-sequence should need 7 characters.
Does anyone know how to build such an overlength sms message?
How do I have to number the messages?
Thanks for any information

This is call concatenated Text message. This is of more then one PDU.

The long messages are build differently for Smart Messaging(Nokia Specs) and EMS(non-Nokia Specs).

Please look for the specification documents for each type.

Yea its true that each PDU is numbered.

Good Luck
