I have a device that requires a sim card with sms service. It's not a phone. I'm in the US and I can't seem to find a provider who would offer sms only service for a sim card at a reasonable price. I only need it to send about 100-150 sms msg a month to the same location. I also need a way to get those sms msgs to the internet. Doesn't matter if it's through email, ftp, rss feed, anything, I can easily figure out how to grab them from where ever they go and do what I need with them (parse the info with php). I found this service: http://www.treasuremytext.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/TreasureMyText.woa which would almost be perfect and exactly what I need. But it's a +44 phone number the msgs are sent to. When you sign up you put in your cell number and when you send SMS's to their number they see it's from your number and store the msgs for you for free and even supply a rss feed of your sms's. If there were only a service like that in the US... This is all for my personal use on the funds of say a starving college student. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Adam |
