Hello,
I have spent the last few days trying to get nowSMS v5.51 to send an MMS to my mobile phone. I am trying to connect to the Optus MMSC and have had no success in doing so. I have the correct settigns for Optus:

MMSC http://mmsc.optus.com.au:8082
WAP proxy/gateway http://61.88.190.10:8070/ (or :9201) tried both.
APN: "mms"
-I have no MMSC Users
-I have MMSC routing set for optus with these settings:
rec phone #s: +61*
route via: MM1
server add: http://mmsc.optus.com.au:8082
if I leave 'Use specific net connection' unchecked I get cant connect to server error.

If I check 'Use specific net connection', can I use local area network to connect to the MMSC? or do I have to use the GPRS modem (GlobalSat GPRS USB modem)?

using the WAP proxy as given above, and LAN for net connection and click 'test connection' I get:
Unable to connect to WAP Gateway

Dont understand if I need to select Modem Used in the next field. Yes the modem is used to send and receive SMS (succesfully) but cant I connect to the MMSC via LAN? If I do have to use the modem, there seems to be many more settings to deal with. Please, please advise

I suspect that there is something I am not understanding. The machine has a permanent connection to the net and is visible on the net. But I do not want MMS recipients to have to connect to this machine to retrieve their MMS because of the many problems associated with this. So simply put, I want to be able to connect to the Optus MMSC, to send MMS from nowSMS. Once this is working I would also like to receive. What are the advantages of using nowSMS as the MMSC over the telcos MMSC? It seems that there are many issues with using nowSMS and more success is to be had using the telcos if you ar trying to send MMS to many people on differeing networks.

Thank You
