Hello, I am trying to use a GlobalSat GU-702 GPRS USB modem to connect to a mobile operators internet server (Optus in Australia). I seem to have problems at the modem end. If I check the log file it goes thru the motions, connects and then times out as it does not detect CD going high. I have attached the log file. Any assistance greatly appreciated.

hello, The error being reported is RAS 734. I have read some of the other posts relating to this and have tried a few APN's and fiddled with the modem and dialup settings but no cigar. If I cant get any support I will have to go with another product as we are still trialling this software which so far has been great. | ||||

Can anyone at least suggest where else I could go to for information as I have had no response from this forum. Most disappointing and now we are not sure as to whether to purchase this product as support is not good. | ||||

hi ettore, Have managed to make the modem make a gprs connection. Needed to do this to ensure that it was working properly. I havent tackled the issue with nowSMS as I was informed that there is no support for version 5.51 and I have to try the new version which has a facility for fetching the correct operator settings. | ||||
