How can i use Now SMS Configuration settings by more than user at the same time using GSM Phone or Modem as SMSC.
as I'm staring small business for the WAP application and i need to gave the customers support by Now SMS to send to customers the OTA of their network. and i had more than 6 users so we can't connect by RDP to this PC that had Now SMS GSM Phone SMSC. so whats the solution for this issue.
that can make more than user to use Now SMS at the same time from the one only PC that connected to GSM Phone SMSC.
taking inconsideration that each one of the users had his PC and we can't connect to each PC SMSC "GSM Phone"

Hi,

Why do the users need to connect to the NowSMS server using remote desktop?

The only way to send these settings out is via the web interface. I don't understand why you think they need to use remote desktop. Maybe I am not understanding something.

Hi Des,
Kindly help me at this issue as i try the Now SMS Help http://www.nowsms.com/documentation/ProductDocumentation/the_web_interface/Confi guration.htm
and it didn't work
i attached the SMSC Gateway which is HUAWEI Mobile Connect - 3G Modem
and i select the Port 8800 and the IP 10.193.14.77 (Which the local IP of the PC that had the SMSC)
and check on Enable menu driven web interface
it works and open only locally at the PC that have Now SMS installed at it but the other PC's Didn't Open the Web Interface while they are joined to the Same Domain and has the same Subnet Mask and the Same IP range (10.193.*.*)
waiting for your support ASAP

Hi Mex,

Can you ping 10.193.14.77 from the other PCs?

Perhaps it could also be a Windows Firewall issue? Go into the Windows Control Panel, and add an exception for port 8080 so that other computers on the network are allowed to connect to that port.

Hi Mex,

The settings depend on what you are trying to settings you are trying to configure.

The standard NowSMS web form should generate working XML settings. However, some phones may not like particular settings (in particular, configuring browsing settings with NO proxy requires different techniques for different phone models).

The most common problem is that many phones (including Nokia S40/S60) require a PIN to be applied to the settings. Are you using a USERPIN? If not, that may cause a problem for the settings to be received properly.

For any more help, I need to see what settings you are trying to send.

Unfortunately no ... as the PIN does not get encoded as part of the XML to WBXML encoding.

When posting to NowSMS, you can include PIN in the URL string ...

If you have other URL parameters, add "&OTAPIN=xxxx" ...

If you don't have any other URL parameters, add "?OTAPIN=xxxx" ...

Unfortunately, I don't think you can do this if you're using the PAP interface. You can if you are using the "?OTA=POST" format that is specific to NowSMS.

Either use UTF-8 character endcoding when building the URL, or add &charset=ISO-8859-6 to the URL so that NowSMS knows what character set you are using.
