Hello,
I am trying to connect my Nokia 6610 to my pc, I am using the serial port and 3 wires (Tx, Rx, Gnd) and a Max232 interface. when I connect the phone, its screen fade and when I disconnect it returns to normal.
but in hyperterminal I can't Type anything and interfere by the phone?
Is there any special setting to do before connecting? or do you know any better way for this purpose?

Hi,

What type of cable are you using? The Nokia device has an unusual connector, so it seems strange that you talk about only using 3 wires.

You need a DKU-5 cable for that device ... and you may also need to install the modem drivers for that device from the Nokia web site.

If you're trying to build your own cable ... good luck ... I can't help you with that. $20 for a proper cable sounds like a good idea to me.

Hello,
my final purpose is using AVR for sending AT commands, and i think it does not need any driver for sending AT commands.
I have the cable but it is not RS232 port, one side of it is for mobile and the other side is usb plug.
and I have cut the cable!! and just using the three wires.
