Hi Can anyone mention the differences/additions with respect to MMS content (in m-send-req) between versions mms 1.0(WAP-209-Encapsulation) and mms 1.2 (OMA encapsulation) | |||

Hi, For that particular request, I'd basically just say that additional optional parameters have been added. Just compare the relevant section of the old spec to the new spec, and it's pretty straight-forward. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

Hi Des , i followed your suggestion . Iam able to figure out the differeces wrt headers . Iam still not clear whether any additions have been added wrt content encoding from mms 1.0 and mms 1.2 or will it be the same. Please suggest. | |||

Content encoding did not change. Changes were mostly additional headers ... and additional PDUs to support things like read receipts. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

Thanks very much Des for the info . I have one more query related to read report PDU's. "The OMA specification says that There are two types of PDUs used for the handling of Read Reports. On the MM recipient side the M-Read-Rec.ind MUST be used and on the MM originating side the M-Read-Orig.ind MUST be used." Iam writing a service which receives read receipt from MMSC. In this case my service should consider processing of only M-Read-Orig.ind (since my service sent an MMS to MMSC initially for which i receive this read receipt). Am i correct or should i handle both the PDU's on my service side. Please suggest. | |||

Here's the situation for which PDU is used when: M-Read-Rec.ind originates at an MMS client, and is sent by an MMS client to an MMSC. M-Read-Orig.ind originates at the MMSC, and is sent by the MMSC to a client. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
