Dear All, I am trying the NowSMS software. It receives SMSs and saves them into SMS-IN folder. I disabled MMS in the phone as the NowSMS team told me , so ,When MMS is received to the phone, it is treated as an SMS and saved into SMS-IN Folder. The MMS Text (in SMS-IN folder) looks like [SMS-IN] ModemName=HUAWEI Mobile Connect - 3G Modem Sender={Sender number} Data=You have an MMS message waiting for you from {Sender number} -> your passcode is :{passcode} http://mms.vodafone.com.eg ReceivedSMSC=+20105996508 How can I configure the NowSMS to get the content of the MMS Messages. Please tell me how to setup it. I expect to find the attached files in MMS-IN folder. Thank you

Hi, This is not a modem issue. MMS is not enabled for you account with your mobile operator. You might need to manually contact your mobile operator to get MMS enabled for you account. Before you do that ... some mobile operator systems will automatically provision your account for MMS support the first time you send an MMS message. So you should try sending an MMS message first. To do this, I would suggest that you move the SIM card from the modem into a mobile phone ... confirm that you can send and receive MMS messages using the mobile phone before you put the SIM card back into the modem. -- Des NowSMS Support

The "Receive MMS Settings" for the modem under the "SMSC" list are either not valid, or there is a connectivity problem. Go into these settings and press the "Test Connection" button to verify that they are working. If you get stuck, enable the "MMSWAPDEBUG.LOG" (checkbox on the "Serial #" page) and post that file. Also let us know what settings you are using on this page.

That is very odd. I've never seen the error code in the debug log before. Try changing "WAP Gateway IP Address" to: http://163.121.178.2:8080 (instead of 163.121.178.2) Does that work? If it doesn't can you post another MMSWAPDEBUG.LOG. -- Des NowSMS Support

Show me the screen image of when you set "WAP Gateway IP Address" to: http://163.121.178.2:8080 That should not return "Invalid IP Address". unless maybe you are using an older version of NowSMS. You could also try: http:163.121.178.2:8080 (Older versions used only the "http:" prefix for this setting. We added support for "http://" in the prefix to avoid confusion.) |
