Hi Max, I'm sorry for any confusion ... but as it states on the download page:
NowSMS is not a bulk SMS or MMS service provider. NowSMS is not a replacement for a bulk SMS or MMS service provider. You need a connection to an SMS service provider, or a GSM modem, before you can send any messages with NowSMS. NowSMS is a middleware tool which simplifies the process of connecting to one or more of these service providers and/or managing one or more GSM modems. NowSMS supports a variety of different SMSC connectivity protocols for connecting to SMS service providers, but there are no magic settings to allow you to start sending messages without an account with an SMS service provider (or a GSM modem with a subscription to a mobile operator). -- Des NowSMS Support

can we use SMS for transferring fingerprint templates/codes from a terminal with GPRS Modem and fingerprint scanner integrated to it to another such terminal using GPRS ,and TO an Application in 3rd terminal ,using SMPP or SOAP Protocal.Firstly we want to know SMS can be used for such task of sending templates without loss of data in either of paths ,using different medium such as GPRS and web

It depends on how large your data is. A single SMS message can contain either 160 7-bit text characters, or 140 8-bit binary bytes of data. You can use concatenation to send larger amounts of data that spans multiple SMS messages ... but if your data packets are significantly larger, then SMS isn't a good idea. NowSMS Lite can be installed on a PC with a GSM/GPRS modem attached. It exposes an SMPP interface to your application so that you can send/receive SMS over the modem via an SMPP interface. A trial version is available for download at http://www.nowsms.com/lite -- Des NowSMS Support |
