Well, the receiving of a text message that tells you to visit a web site means that you are not provisioned for MMS service with your provider. You would need to contact your mobile operator to get MMS service enabled for your account. As for problems sending ... every mobile operator has different settings that are required to be configured in the mobile phone in order to support MMS. There are no magic settings that work with all operators. So you need to find out what the appropriate settings for MMS are for your operator. A general description of the type of settings information you are looking for can be found here: http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/12/4134.html You must then configure those settings in your mobile phone. And the process of configuring those settings is different for every mobile phone. So you'd need to refer to the manual for that phone to determine how to configure the operator's MMS settings in the phone. There is a link for documentation/manuals for Motorola phones at the following URL: http://direct.motorola.com/eng/manuals.asp?country=GBR&language=ENG&productid=29 128&cat=3 Unfortunately, the Motorola manual for the v500 doesn't explain how to configure the MMS settings in the phone. Hi, I have had my V500 phone for several months, today, the phone switched its self off, and it will not switch back on. I have tried my sim card and battery on another motorola, they work fine. I charged the phone up during the night, it did have three bars of power. PLEASE HELP!!! | |||

Same problem as Sandra. V500 receives messages fine from other phones, but when I send to a Nokia MMS compatible phone, the recepient is always asked to go to a web site. Is this because the V500 sends the object as a slide show rather than a jpeg or something similar? | |||

Those of you with handsets which keep freezing, the phone may need a software upgrade, you can sometimes get them off the internet i did for my old nokia but don't know about the v500! try searching an google or msn. To all of those trying to send via bluetooth help is at hand! 1. Make sure both handsets have their bluetooth switched on! 2.go to settings->connections->bluetooth link->handsfree->look for devices. This will scan for devices with bluetooth active it should then find the person you are trying to send the pic to. You will then need to bond with that phone. If it asks for a passkey just press any number the other person will then need to input the same number when prompted for a passkey. The two handsets should now be bonded! now all you need to do is go into your picture you want to send, press the menu key, then go down to copy, select the other persons handset name from the list(same name you just bonded with!) and it should send! N.B When sending to a motorola v series phone the recipient should use the find me function as well as turning on the bluetooth for some reason it doesnt work otherwise! Give it a try! | |||

Hello I have a V300 and it was originally set up as a T-Mobile handset, this has now been unlocked and has an Orange sim card in it. I have contacted orange who advise the problems are due to the switch from T-Mobile top Orange. I have a v500 as does my son, both unlocked from orange and now on o2. I have managed to set up both GPRS exactly the same however my sons phone seems to be connected permanently to o2 active and running down his credit. My phone only conjnects when i launch the GPRS browser, which is how i want it. I have tried everything on my sons but cannot stop the auto connection. Trawled the web to no avail and tried o2 who were next to useless. Please help. | |||

Same problem as elaine. I have no idea what to do, i would be very very grateful if someone can email me telling me what to do. The v500 just wont switch on. Whenever I used to turn it off, it wouldnt switch on unless tried 5 minutes after it was turned off, but now it just wont turn on. Please help... I have tried to put the settings into my V500 when its all changed i press the done button...after this i try and launch web browser. A message appears saying browser setup incomplete, Two options appear "Exit" or "Setup" in setup all the settings i have changed are gone. i also got a v500 off my g/f as she had upgraded, she was on orange and i`m on o2 so had it unlocked to use my sim , reading all th problems everyone is having , me included think the best place for the v500 is in the retired mobile phone draw lol , ive tried all the advice on here been on o2 web site and to be honest it would be quicker to take a pic with a camera , go to boots have it developed and post it lol , i give up ........ | |||
