Hi, everyone, I am using a Nokia 7650. Is it able for me to send MMS through a GSM modem, and then received by the SMS/MMS gateway? Any configurations required? What types of GSM modem I should use? Thanks a lot.

Hi Liu Yanxiang, Apologies for the delay in responding to you. It appears that your question is about the Now SMS/MMS Gateway ... and we do not monitor this forum on the discussion board as frequently for support questions. (In the future, please post questions to one of the forums that includes the word "Support" in the title.) In order to receive MMS messages using the Now SMS/MMS Gateway, you need to have a dedicated GSM/GPRS modem device connected to the gateway. You cannot use a mobile phone with inbuilt GSM/GPRS modem capabilities for this purpose, because the MMS client in the mobile phone will always intercept the MMS message, and not forward it over the modem interface. We usually recommend the Siemens MC35T as an external GSM/GPRS modem device (beware it does not support USA GSM frequencies), or the Sierra Wireless Aircard 750 as a PC card. Configuration issues specific to using a GPRS modem with NowSMS are described in the following link: http://www.nowsms.com/documentation/ProductDocumentation/mms_notifications_and_c ontent/Connecting_to_operator_MMSC.htm

Hi Bryce, I am still facing a lot of problem in receiving MMS. In one of your previous mails, you had suggested that I define a GSM/GPRS connection under the MMSC Routing tab and choose that connection to be the default route. I tried defining the settings for Singtel and Starhub(2 operators in Singapore)... the test connection is ok, but I notice that the MMS is not received in the MMS-IN directory (I selected the option to receive MMS in the MMS-IN directory). After I do this, I have not been able to send MMS from the web interface.Though I get a "Message Submitted" response, I notice that the MMS message is in the VASPQ directory. I have attached the files found in the VASPQ directory and also the MMSCDebug file. Please have a look and let me know why I am not able to send and receive MMS?
