Hello,

We use NowSMS as a MMSC and my question is about delivery of MMS's when a network problem occurs during a retrieve operation.

Let's suppose that the WAP Gateway has successfully completed a GET request on the MMSC to retrieve a MMS but that there is a network problem between the WAP Gateway and the mobile phone.
For the MMSC, the MMS has been successfully transfered and so is likely to be deleted.
But if it actually deletes the MMS, this latter will be lost and the subscriber won't be able to retrieve it any more.

So, what is the behavior of the MMSC in order to avoid this kind of problem (I don't find any answers regarding this in the WAP forum specification documents)?
Does it keep the MMS even after it is retrieved? If it is the case, how long does it keep it?
Do you know if you have the same behavior than other MMSC's.

Thank you in advance for you answers.
Best regards,
Ivan.
