Hey Guys, Is there any way I could read the phone number that was configured for each modem from a remote computer? Maybe I could add another list item for the administration web that will display all modems with phone numbers somehow? Right now the best idea that I came up with is to run IIS and let it publish SMSGW.INI, and then read it remotely and parse it. Do you have any other good ideas besides that? Thanks in advance!

Hi, It would be useful for us to add this information to the XML status query interface. However, I am curious why you would need it. Is it for operational routing issues (sending replies back through the correct modem)? Or is it for being able to associate a more friendly/useful name with each modem for administrative purposes? If it is the latter, I don't have any good suggestions ... other than that we will consider amending the XML status query with this information in the future. -- Des NowSMS Support

Hey Des! Yes, if you guys could add it to the xml in future versions.. that would be PERFECT. The reason I need this is because I am currently making a dashboard-style UI that displays status of applications that use phones through NowSMS. I wish to display each application and the status of the phone that it uses. The applications (obviously) use the phones by the phone number (and not by the modem name), so in order to know which modem name belongs to which application - I need to have the phone number. Does my explanation make any sense?
