Sending Text messages with AT Commands

I'm slowly learning how to send text messages using AT commands but have a few queries.

Firstly i'm using a Siemens TC35 Terminal (GSM Modem) connected to my computer.

is it possible to get/use delivery reports?
On my mobile if i set delivery reports 'On' i know when people have received my text message or not.

and,

is it possible to replace the sender mobile number with an alphnumeric string? i.e if you send a txt over the internet, where the message is from (e.g Lycos or O2) will appear in the mobile number and the txt can not be replied too. is this possible for me to do? and if so, where do i find out how to do it.

any help or advie would be appreciated
