Hi all ive got a nokia 7250 and i cant recieve MMS ive spoke to O2 about this and looked on net and it seems that cause ive had my sim for a year and a half now i need to update my sim card to 1 of there latest sims which are crap compared to the sim ive got 50 free mins everyday 600 free txts and free unlimited wap. Just wondering if theres any way to recieve and send MMS without changing my sim? | |||

Hi, you could ask them to data enable your sim card. This provisions GRPS onto your account and you will then be able to send and receive MMS's. Nathan | |||

Hi thanks for replying i asked them if they could enable my phone so i could send MMS but they said my sim was to old (1 & 6 months)! and that id need to update my sim. Ive read somewhere that there trying to get people off the old genie contracts as i get 50 free mins a day and free wap. Is there any way i can send MMS | |||

I don't think so ... O2 is funny about provisioning accounts to access their MMSC if you are on a plan that they want to drop. I've got a colleague in the office who has been told that with his plan he can have either WAP over GPRS or he can have MMS, but not both. A lot of people have been very frustrated by O2's tactics in this area. | |||

I've got a Nokia 6600 brought by myself on Vodaphone, the thing is i have an O2 chip that is much better than anyone could offer me, 100 free mins per month, and 600 free texts. Anyways, i have managed to unblock the phone as it was locked to Voda, and now i get a stupid message when i start the phone about 'wapstksrv'. Anyone know anything about it? Please tell me what to do. I think this fault is stopping me from receiving txt messages, i can send but not receive. HELP!!!! | |||

WAPSTKSRV error - the only way to fix this problem is to wipe the phone and reformat the disk. I had this problem and even a restore with PC Suite did not fix it, gave errors about corrupt disk on the 6600. The command to reset the phone is: *#7370# Still MMS with T-Mobile is broken, trying to solve the issue with T-Mobile engineers now. | |||

Genie free texts and internet? You have to go to O2. co. uk. (no spaces!) The package u want is called talkalot. I would expect to pay £9.99 for the card and you have to top up once a month to get free stuff. What ever u top up you can use in calls and credit is rolled over to the next month. This is ace for teenagers as when they use all their credit up they still have free texts. Now my turn!! HEEEEEEELLLPPPP me!!! I upgraded from a samsung t100 to a t108 last year. If you have an O2 (Genie) Sim Card that gives 300 free texts per month as long as you top-up with £10 every month then here is the procedure for getting the free texts WITHOUT having to top-up!! 1. Firstly you must have the O2 sim card installed into your mobile phone (it has to be the included 300 texts per month tariff) 2. Once you have topped your sim card up with some credit you will find you have the following; £10 worth of talk time, 300 wap minutes, 300 texts. 3. Take notice of what date it is on your mobile phone when you top up. 4. Use your phone as normal for that month or until you run out of texts. 5. Once you have run out of texts, reset the date on your mobile phone to the date when you first topped up and DONT USE YOUR PHONE THAT DAY!! (meaning don’t make a connection with anyone with your mobile but leave turned on!!) 7 The next day you can change your date settings back to normal. 8 Now all you have to do is wait for the new month and you will receive a message from o2 saying & quot;THANKYOU FOR TOPPING UP,YOU NOW HAVE YOUR FREE 300 TEXT MESSAGES & quot; 9 IMPORTANT!! It doesn’t matter where in that month you run out of texts. You only (ONLY!) get a maximum of 300 texts per month so make sure you don’t run out halfway through the month as you will have to wait till the start of the new month to get your free 300 texts.
