Hi, I am developing a service that sends text messages that are more than 160 characters long. I want to send them as concatenated SMS (containing 2-3 parts) but I am not sure about the phones supporting it. Can you please let me know how many GSM and TDMA phones can handle concatenated messages received and if there are any phones in market that may not be able to process them? Your help would be really appreciated. Kind Regards | |||

AFAIK, in the GSM world, even old phones such as Nokia 3310 support 3-parts SMS. Only very very verrry old phones will not reassemble messages - but even in this situation, end-user will still see the transmitted material - split as several messages. |
