Hi I have read the installation instructions which says after clicking ADD I should be presented with an option to add a gsm modem.

But a different scrreen shows asking for.... sms route name.....server url path....username...password etc for a HTTP connection.

How do I get up the option to add a GSM modem? thanks

Hi Andrew,

Apologies for the delay in response. I didn't realise what you were referring to until you posted another thread.

If there is only an HTTP SMSC option (no GSM modem option, no SMPP option), then this indicates that you are using an OEM licensed version of NowSMS that only supports HTTP SMSC connections.

This limited version is bundled with some GSM test equipment, and is intended for use only with that GSM test equipment.

For further clarification, to make sure I am diagnosing this correctly, if after pressing "Add" from the "SMSC" list, you see the following dialog with only the HTTP option listed, then you are using an OEM licensed copy.

You can remove the OEM serial number and revert to a trial version to access GSM modem functionality, or install the trial version on a different PC.
