hello all. as the thread title says, i am having problems in sending mms messages using the MMS notification web interface. The most pressing problem is sending of MMS messages to Sony Ericsson phones, earlier or older models. For example, using the www.nowsms.com/download/btmms.mms as the MMS URL, i sent a notification msg to nokia and SE phones. Only on the nokia phone (model 7650) does the notification arrives as an MMS message. But with the SE phones (model T610 and the K700i), the notification failed to arrive as an MMS. Instead, what happens is that the notifications are routed to the text inbox, which when i click to open, tries to 'download' the message which naturally then fails citing 'communication error'. I believe this is called service loading, which IMO will result in error since the browsing client can't handle MMS files. With regards to the problem, i have eliminated telco as a possible fault as the phones are already configured for MMS and can both send and receive messages to each other (7650 to k700 to t610 and vice versa). So it is not possible to have a 'walled' garden scenario because the notifications arrived as intended in the 7650 and all the phones are using the same telco. What i am looking for is some kind of general ideas on how to troubleshoot the problems. Maybe i am still missed a few MMS settings like the port number perhaps,or the SE need a few more optional headers in an MMS files..i don't know. I have already exhausted all avenues in solving this problem, browsed the very helpful nowsms forums.. but i still can not solve this. any suggestions would be welcomed. thanks for your time. amir. | |||
