My sister bought a nokia 3200 - Pay-as-you-go Tesco mobile in August. Since October she's had numerous intermitent problems, including unable to send/receive text messages, unable to make/receive calls and credit balance increasing after making a call.

What's troubling her most is when she sends a MMS, it is being sent twice. The recipient gets 2 identical messages at the same time and her credit balance is charged twice. She has contacted the Tesco shop, Tesco Mobile helpline, O2 and Nokia - all say it's not their problem.

My sister suffers from depression and OCD and this is really getting her down. Has anyone else experienced MMS messages sending twice or any suggestions how to resolve the problem?

It sounds like a problem with the provider (especially credit balance increasing after a call). By looking at the logs on the MMSC the operator (O2) should be able to see if two messages have really been sent from the handset or if the MMSC is just getting it wrong. She should write a letter to Tesco mobile asking for this to be investigated. If she gets no response she could try contacts a consumer group like "Which?"
