hey! i got a Motorola V3 recently to replace a nokia phone and just transfered the old O2 genie sim card across (300 free texts, 300 free WAP minutes). Having problems with the WAP though. there were no problems with the older phone but with the Motorola one, when i launch the browser i'm charged for it. Under Web Sessions the O2 WAP GPRS was the default browser so i changed this to regular 'O2' but in this case the browser couldn't even launch at all. (theres a lock shown beside the WAP GPRS settings-i was wondering if maybe this meant i couldnt change this?) I've contacted O2 but they've been useless so i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me! thanks! Suz | |||

I work for O2 and am slightly concerned that our customer service did not identify that your phone (which from what you have said is from Carphone Warehouse) has been set up for gprs (MBytes) browsing not CSD (Dialup mins). You can change your free monthly bundle to 300 messaging units and 1MB or you need to setup your phone for CSD. you can get assistance if you need it by e-mailing j_frayne@yahoo.co.uk | |||

To make this work just go onto the 02 website and go on to the internet settings part. Click on Get Settings and type in your number. When you have done this all you have to do is open the text message and it will do it for you. This is free to do. | |||

on my o2 genie sim i now only get 1megabyte instead of 5 why | |||

i got my genie card 28 days ago an i still havent got my free texts from topping up this month why??? | |||

I recently puchased a new mobile phone with a genie sim i have put credit on my phone a couple of times and i am yet to recieve my 300 free texts i have been with o2 before and have had a genie sim which i had no problems with is there something i have to do in order to recieve my free 300 texts. | |||

Its still possible to get O2 Genie SIM cards for FREE. You may need to surf around but the best place to start is http://www.o2genie.co.uk Good luck - Sandra | |||
