Jeff,

I don't have access to a Cingular SIM ... but I tried accessing that site through a T68i and a Nokia 3650, as well as direct access to Telnet to observe the raw responses coming back from the server.

I didn't see any problems with the page.

That page simply displays some text and a redirect link to http://164.109.58.25/landstar/index.maml, so you might try going to this redirect link directly.

I suspect that the WAP gateway that you are configured to use on your new phone must be having a problem with the page for some reason.

If you have access to the "ISP.CINGULAR" GPRS access point (I don't know what Cingular calls this in their plans, but it allows you to use your phone as a GPRS modem with a PDA or PC), then you could try creating a WAP profile with the following settings, and see if it works for you ...

(I don't have access to a T62U, but if it has menus similar to the T68i, you'd use the steps below.)

Under the Data accounts menu (probably under a heading like Connect/Data comm) create a new account for GPRS data. Give it a name like "Test". Specify the GPRS APN (Access Point Name) as "isp.cingular". For the user id specify "WIXDC001@W5.MYCINGULAR.COM", and for the password specify "ZXY203DC9K0402".

Under the WAP Profiles menu (probably under WAP Services/Options/WAP Profiles), create a new profile. Give it a name like "Test". For "Connect Using", specify the name of the "Data account" created in the previous step. Under IP address specify 213.48.20.10 (this is the IP address of a WAP gateway that we run in our office).

Then activate that profile (probably under WAP Services/Select Profile) ... and see if you have any better luck with that profile.

If you have problems connecting with that profile, then you can always re-activate your existing profile.
