I've seen a few posts where a phone does not receive an SMS with embedded URL properly. Based on my understanding this is phone dependent. I have two questions I'd like some help on: 1) I am assuming WAP Push is the technology required to send a live URL link (i.e. the user can select the link and go to a WAP page directly) through SMS - is this correct? Or is it just the ability to support a binary SMS? Or is it something else altogether? 2) What protocol or standard does a phone have to have to support to a live URL link in an SMS? e.g. is support for the WMA 1.0 standard on a phone guarantee of support for live URL link in the SMS or some other standard? Thanks for your help. ruby |
