When I send Rigntone by WAP push to a Nokia phone, I can download the midi file via WAP. However, when I do the same with a mmf file and a Samsung phone, it says connecting and then "not acceptable". Why is this so? | |||

Andy, I'm not an expert on Samsung phones ... but here are some things I would suggest: Do not push the MMF file directly. (What I mean by this is that if you are pushing the MMF content as the content of the push message, use a "service indication (si)" push instead, referencing a URL for the content of the push.) If your service indication push references a URL that points to the MMF file directly, instead point the push to a WML page that has a link to the MMF content (many browsers do not like to receive a push that sends them to direct to a piece of content). Finally, make sure that the MMF file returns the correct content type on your content server. It should return a content type of "application/vnd.smaf". -bn |
