Hi, i want to have my own WAP RAS... how can this be posible? can some1 please guide me? My t-mobile (phone company) service dont provide me with free wap anymore. what equipment will i need etc? thanks Bhups | |||

This is what you'll need: - A computer running a web server providing content - A WAP gateway as the proxy compiling the WML-code into WMLC sent to the handheld device - A RAS (Remote Access Service) activated, which listens to a modem, and bind a call to the appropriate IP addresses. This way you can publish your own WAP content from your PC. If you want to use your personal WAP w/ RAS setup to get WAP content from other domains, then your PC must have internet access to forward the requests. With ISDN that´s no problem, since you got 2 lines; the PC must have a the other phone connection setup to (automatically) dial into the internet. | |||
